ok so i bet you’ve probably noticed that ad there on the side, i did the best i could to make it unobtrusive, it will only appear here on the main page, and i have absolutely no problem with you sporting adblock for firefox or whatever equivalent is for your browser (speaking of it, if anybody knows of one for safari and/or camino please tell me about it, i’d really like to know), i’m sorry about this, but hosting isn’t free and i’m hoping to recoop some my cost on it, so if you like my site or anything you find on it please click a link or two and give me a small economic boost

well apple ibook #2, goes back to apple, unfortunately i won’t get a chance to ship it back til tuesday (because of the holiday),  the customer service this time was amazing, and if i didn’t love OSX so much and the customer service wasn’t so great this time around, i would be really put off and give up on apple, that being said i really hope this next ibook works, because they’ll have to do something special if they manage to give me another ibook with problems, it’d be hard for me to rationalize playing this game much longer, i’m really not a fan of x86 laptops though

after a week with my ibook i finally got around to calling apple can getting it replaced because it had two dead pixels, i have to say that i’m very impressed with the ibook, it has proved to be a good little laptop and performs everything i need it to do quite well, (in games it fails to impress but hey this is the bottom of the line apple laptop we’re talking about),the built in applications and freely downloadable software, i should have the replacement ibook in the first part of next week

we here at bonta-kun.net are proud to have a new feature, we call it vocab words, it’s do to my friend matt’s amazing ability to craft  new words out of matt’s the already robust collection in teh english languauge, the other news is that we are now hosting the site for the Springfield (mo) area rx-7 board this is for a few reasons: they are good guys (mostly :p), rotaries are awesome, they needed a home and i had the spare space and bandwidth, d. i was the only one stupid enough to volunteer

oh btw you all need to go play katamari damacy it’s an amazing game that has definite monty python influence at moments and it crazy addictive and fun (good music too), it’s only 20 bucks new too so you’ve got no excuse unless you don’t have access to a playstation 2 (then borrow one)

school is killing me and my ibook will be here tomarrow, so i’ve got something to look forward to and something to continue to fret, oh well after this semester things should be going alot better for me (no more math, no more physics, no more yang wang)

also i’m looking for someone to take over my widget (i’m planning on moving away from widgets to be honest and move to more full featured development) and i frankly don’t have the time to keep up with all the comic and feature requests, i’d like to think i did a job of taking care of the users of my widget, but honestly with the little feedback i’ve gotten back from them who knows, i’ll continue to help people with it and aid in it’s development i just don’t have the time i had when i started it, and i’m getting ambitous about the kind of projects i want to move forward to (plus i’m going to enjoy using the language of my choice (scheme) instead of something forced on me, at least until i get a real job in software development, and hopefully i’ll get the job working for resnet at school and that will let me do more computer work)

I’ve added a new thing for people to view, it’s kinda fun to look at, it’s a break down of all the states for the server, the fun thing is to look at the top referals (neowin.net by far) and browser breakdown (firefox is ahead by more than double, w00t), anyways it’s on the sidebar, i’ll update it from time to time, it’s kinda interesting to look at

edit: and for my good buddy matt who wanted some coverage on this site i post a picture of him i took with my phone after i night at buffalo wild wings (awesome bar/food) and i took this picture back at my house afterwards, he was still a bit drunk and was playing Star Wars Galaxies on my computer (something to do with voting for a mayor of his town or something like that), well my iBook is close it arrived at alaska yesterday at 1 pm, so it looks like apple is going to deliever on their promise

I found a cool new technical site for computer stuff. As any of you that know me personally know i’m a big hardware junkie and I love to read technical stuff and that i general favor anandtech and this new site seems to be a higher flow of articles, anyways enough chatter here’s the link to the new site, it’s called Ars Technica and the ibook is scheduled delievery for tomarrow so hopefully i’ll post a short review (unlike that of the tc/m3) over the course of the weekend of first part of next week

Well sunday i ordered my iBook using my student discount to save some money, i’ll have more of a review one later (once i get it), it just shipped today (they had to install the internal bluetooth module and they obviously don’t ship on sundays, but it’s shipping from  shanghi china, that’s on the other half of the world, so it would seem i’ll be waiting quite a bit longer than apple’s quoted 5 days max shipping time, but maybe they did a rush shipping job on it, i don’t know yet, this is only my second mac, and it’s my first mac with OSX (a much better system, i’m a big linux/unix junkie so i’m expecting it to be more natural for me than OS9 was), anyways just wanted to share that and warn you about an ibook review coming
